MEET THE TEAM

Our team of friendly, professional and highly skilled architects are dedicated to creating innovative, finely crafted designs.  With a shared love for the outdoors and natural environment, our team is focused on sustainable architecture that is cost effective and experientially rewarding whilst incurring a minimal footprint on the landscape.

Ed Davis

Registered Architect 8536 NSW

Principal Architect Ed Davis extends his 20+ years experience in the industry to his clients, benefiting them with his extensive knowledge of local Councils & professional conduct with various members of the building industry. An excellent listener and communicator, Ed works closely with his clients and balances his aesthetic and vision with their individual style to create classic, elegant buildings that withstand the test of time. He understands and respects the fact that each project is a real collaboration between client, architect and builder, with little room for “ego”. Relaxed yet professional, creative yet practical, Ed’s level approach has consistently proven to be a great virtue throughout the complex process of managing a project.

After establishing Davis Architects in 2005, Ed relocated from Sydney to Byron Bay to embrace the North Coast Lifestyle. When Ed isn’t busy working on projects he can be found spending time with his partner Ann-Louise & children, playing a round of golf, cyling throughout the Byron Bay hinterland or enjoying a surf at Watego’s.

Dylan Robinson

Dylan obtained his Masters of Architecture at Bond University in 2015. He was awarded a D3 Housing Tomorrow Special Mention for his Thesis "Humanitarian Intervention" and was a member of the Sydney Vivid Festival build team in 2014 and 2015. During his 5 year employment at Davis Architects he has worked laterally across all stages of the design process and has acquired a comprehensive knowledge with local Councils. Dylan particularly enjoys the construction documentation stage and working closely with engineers, builders and consultants to produce highly efficient, elegant and detailed buildings. His calm, thoughtful nature, extensive technical skills and attention to detail has accredited him as being a true asset to the team. In his spare time you can find Dylan watching a game of AFL, teaching Kung Fu, snowboarding in Japan and caring for his dog Yuki.

Ann-Louise Buck

As the Photographer and Marketing Manager at Davis Architects, Ann-Louise brings a strong multi-skilled background in visual communication to the team. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts with Honours from QUT, Ann-Louise worked as a professional photographer for a number of studios before launching her own photography business “Possum Creek Studios” in 2012. A Post Graduate in Creative Advertising at QUT further enabled Ann-Louise to develop her skills in marketing, desktop publishing and web design. As Ed Davis’s partner in crime, when not at work she can be found enjoying time with Ed and their family, playing guitar, jogging and loving anything that involves being outdoors.

nic raczka

The newest member of the team, Nic’s creative talents in all things visual lead him to complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts before continuing on to graduate with a Masters of Architecture at UNSW. His Graduate Project examined the concept of healing trauma through the phenomenology of space, with his research then being contributed to Black Dog Institute for their ongoing trauma research program. Traveling to Kiribati Is (near Fiji) Nic helped to propose how architecture can respond to natural disasters and serve disadvantaged communities in the wake of climate change. Nic loves crafting thoughtful spaces that helps facilitate positive memories and experiences for individuals, families and communities. In his spare time you’ll find Nic bushwalking through national parks, visiting art galleries, and sharing time with his partner and their dog Alfie.
