Ed Davis Architect

ED DAVIS

Registered Architect 8536 NSW

Principal Architect Ed Davis extends his 20+ years experience in the industry to his clients, benefiting them with his extensive knowledge of local Councils & professional conduct with various members of the building industry. An excellent listener and communicator, Ed works closely with his clients and balances his aesthetic and vision with their individual style to create classic, elegant buildings that withstand the test of time. He understands and respects the fact that each project is a real collaboration between client, architect and builder, with little room for “ego”. Relaxed yet professional, creative yet practical, Ed’s level approach has consistently proven to be a great virtue throughout the complex process of managing a project.

After establishing Davis Architects in 2005, Ed relocated from Sydney to Byron Bay to embrace the North Coast Lifestyle. When Ed isn’t busy working on projects he can be found spending time with his partner Ann-Louise & children, playing a round of golf, cyling throughout the Byron Bay hinterland or enjoying a surf at Watego’s.

Davis Architects Catherine

CATHERINE GULUSIAN

Graduate Architect

Originally from Brazil, Catherine obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Fine Arts University Centre of Sao Paulo in 2017. Seeking new challenges and experiences, Catherine moved to Australia after graduating and now proudly calls it home. Catherine’s design approach is heavily influenced by Modernist Brazilian Architecture, which prioritizes the use of simple elements to create innovative and forward-thinking designs. She enjoys using the visual language of architecture, including exploring 3D renders, to effectively communicate messages, ideas, and concepts.

Outside of architecture, Catherine dedicates her spare time to learning new things and exploring diverse interests, such as playing the guitar. She also cherishes moments spent at the beach, whether for a leisurely walk, reading a book, or learning to surf.

Pedro Davis Architects

pedro deal

Graduate Architect

Further contributing towards the South American influence in our team, Pedro is from Uruguay and holds an Architecture degree from ORT University in Montevideo and the Superior Technical Architectural School in San Sebastián, Spain (2019). He later deepened his expertise with a postgraduate specialization in Sustainable Architecture Design and Native Landscaping at BAM Architecture in Argentina. Before joining Davis Architects, Pedro worked in a number of firms in Uruguay, gaining valuable experience across diverse architectural applications. His passion for design spans architecture, interiors, and landscapes, with a particular love for hand drawing and site supervision. Pedro thrives on the experimental and boundless nature of architecture, finding inspiration in the opportunity to shape spaces that seamlessly blend functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability. He sees design as a privilege—one that not only responds to its environment but also leaves a lasting impact on the way people experience and interact with the world.

When outside of the office you'll find Pedro immersed in nature or playing the guitar. Whether swimming, sailing, hiking, or simply enjoying the ocean, he embraces the rhythm and energy of Australia especially the Northern Rivers. He deeply appreciates its unique natural conditions, the connection between the ocean and hinterland, and the region’s warm, conscious communities.
