WINNER - Home Beautiful Magazine "Best Renovation of the Year" 2016.
Formally a "sub-stationgreen" steel industrial shed this small project allowed us to work creatively with the clients on the design of the exteriors, interiors, custom details and built-in joinery. The results is a complete transformation of the existing building and the creation of secondary dwelling adjacent to the main house that doubles as both guest accommodation and a giant entertaining space. The whole living space and kitchen are lined with timber VJ boards adding to the relaxed coastal feel. This unique studio is part of a master plan for the clients, with staged construction to suit the client, the plans are currently under way for the renovation of the main 4 Bedroom House, with a pool and landscape design.
"Ed delivered the exact space our growing family needed - not only structurally but with the perfect aesthetic. Our new space has changed the mood of everyone in the house. We no longer feel boxed in and it’s made everyone feel more relaxed." Sally Vardy
